Original animartix code by stephen petrick

Tech Specs:
OBSCURA uses a Teensyduinos with Smart Matrix Shield to power 4 RGB Matrix Panels, running a very modified version of Stephen Petrik's Animartix code.
The screens are reflected into beamsplitter glass, a unique piece of glass used in telemprompters that allows it to be reflective and transparent at the same time. The generative art code displayed is alterd by IR data that measures the distance of the user and feeds that into different variables, that control different aspects of the code.
In the center of the device are three custom etched edgelight acrylic screens used as the "grids" -- another Teensyduino controls these allowing both random actions to play out on the edge lighting LEDs, as well as user controlled actions.
Another Teensyduino is paired with a PJR Audio board to play a synthetically generated and modded pink noise through a 'rumble seat' car subwoofer.

Yet another Teensyduino controls the "Aetheric Interchange Display" on the top of the device. The "middle user" can control the patterns and speed. The display is constructed of layers of engraved 'green glass' acrylic, with an RGB Matrix lined up underneath each edge. The code that runs this has sectioned off the Matrix into individual "X" and "I" letterforms.
